As we say goodbye to May and hello to June, we enter our last few weeks of Spring, as the Earth spins closer to the sun and warmer weather is on the horizon for us Northern Hemisphere folks. For some of us, like me living in the high mountains, the weather is still up and down, indecisive as to what season we are in, with snow and rain and warm sun all happening in the span of a few days. So, before rejoicing that school is out, vacations are on the horizon, and outdoor activities are thriving, lets take a moment to look back on our April and May showers that have brought all kinds of flowers out to bloom by losing ourselves in some beautiful photographs of Paris captured in the rain.
It’s hard to say exactly when Paris became muse to so many artists, but lets say that it has been and continues to inspire all kinds of creative minds. Ask Midnight in Paris’ star Owen Wilson, or many other romantics for that matter, and you will hear that Paris is “most beautiful in the rain”. Cozy up to your love under a big umbrella while wandering through various side streets, sit under a big café awning and sip a coffee while the rain patters along the sidewalks, let your hair down and get soaked on the walk back to the B&B, whatever your preference on how to pass a rainy day, let these photos inspire you in their own way.
